Why You Feel Too Tired for Yoga

Why You Feel Too Tired for Yoga

If you’ve ever thought, “I know yoga would be good for me… I don’t have time – this is hard,” you’re not alone.

Most busy, overwhelmed people don’t struggle with motivation. It’s capacity.

When your mind is full, your nervous system is running on low battery, and your day has already asked too much of you, even simple things like rolling out a mat can feel like a mountain.

So instead of movement feeling supportive, it starts to feel like pressure. Yoga doesn’t have to be an hour-long practice, a perfect flow, or something you “earn”.

It can be:

  • 3 minutes of breathing before your day starts
  • a gentle stretch between meetings
  • a moment to come back into your body when your mind is racing

When we remove the pressure to “do it properly,” we make space for consistency.

That’s why I created Intro to Yoga for Busy Folks with Busy Minds for the moments when you don’t need another commitment, you need a reset.

Small practices matter more than perfect ones. Especially when life feels full.

And often, the goal isn’t to become a “yoga person” or have a “yoga body”. You have a body, therefore you are perfect for yoga. :=)

It’s simply to feel a little more like yourself again. Breathe deeply. Be present. Yoga is a somatic practice of being.

Start small with 5 – 10 minutes a day and go from there.
