Early mornings and ocean swims

Welcome to my first blog post for 2024!

We are now past the ‘New Year New Me’ posts of early January, and by now, you will likely have settled into your routine. Hopefully…

I feel excited to be in March. My year ended with me straggling towards NYE and fatigued as the year started. Literally. My iron levels dropped to an all-time low and resulted in an iron infusion. The iron infusion was great and I think it has finally kicked in! Low energy, constant fatigue and picking up bugs is horrible. I rejigged my eating, had a much-needed break and slept. A lot. And so, as much as I share for my readers about yogic living and health and wellness, I also share to remind myself to practice what I preach. There is no magic pill you or I can take for your wellbeing…it is about fostering regular habits. I am on this journey with you…

Sooo my first post of the year is to share that yoga does not make you bulletproof. It is 1 tool in a toolkit to support you on your journey and your daily life. Plus, the invitation is there for you to assess all parts of your life, and see what’s working, what’s not and review opportunities to make time to nurture yourself.

Our nervous systems are fried…and burnout and fatigue is something I hear a lot about from my students, co-workers, friends….yet, they are warning signs from your body. Do you heed the call of your body and mind, before it gets to an urgent state?

Here’s to listening to your body, to your soul, to your heart and take action to honour your being. That is my personal intention for this year and what I’m keen to share with readers. More listening, nourishing and expressing gratitude for this/your body and mind for keeping us well and practical steps you can take to support wellbeing.

Have a stellar rest of March and April…I’m thrilled to be back again with more energy and look forward to providing more blog posts and tools online to support your journey.

With love and thanks for being here,

Roxy xoxo
