First up, what is your lizard brain? It is your primal part of your brain that keeps you safe and sound. The lizard brain is influenced by your amygdala in your brain which is associated with your stress response, anger and fear. It’s an important part of the brain however, sometimes the lizard brain can be overactive due to a variety of factors, chemicals, food, drugs, stressful environments and previous trauma can lead to a heightened state and overactive lizard brain.
