What does cleaning and meditation have in common?

They both create space! Cleaning can create space in your home and meditation can create space in your mind. (Do you like what I did there 😉 ).

Yes, think of meditation and yoga like brushing your teeth or cleaning up the mind. If we live in clutter, physically or mentally, we can potentially make it harder than it needs to be. Here are The 9 Surprising Benefits of a Clean Home (kalynbrooke.com)!

When we clear the mind with meditation and breathwork, it helps to:

  • calm the body and brain
  • allow you to breathe deeper
  • create space to think clearer and find solutions
  • relieve anxiety
  • relieve depression
  • enable you to be more creative
  • allow you to respond rather than react
  • process thoughts, feelings, emotions and events

Like anything, it’s a practice. 🙂 Sometimes all of the above will happen and sometimes not at all…however, that is where you can go with your practice depending on how consistently you may or may not practice.
